CareLighter provides household care-coordination tools for care recipients and the people they authorize. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect account and contact information, household membership and invitation details, care-coordination tasks, check-ins, messages, interests, personal motivations, and other information you choose to enter. If you add personal photos, we store those photos for your household. If you enroll in text alerts, we collect your mobile number, consent record, and messaging activity.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, synchronize household information, deliver requested notifications, operate and secure CareLighter, provide support, and improve reliability. CareLighter is not an emergency-response service and does not provide clinical recommendations.

Clinician scheduling access

A household owner may invite a home-health clinician to a separate scheduling-only portal. It displays the care recipient’s name, proposed visit windows, and the household’s scheduling responses. It does not display household routines, medications, photos, private care-team messages, or clinical records. The owner may revoke this access.

Mobile information

We do not sell or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to deliver CareLighter services, such as authentication, hosting, email, and text-message delivery.

Personal photos and preferences

Personal photos, interests, and motivations are used to personalize the care recipient’s household experience. Photos are not placed on a public page. They are delivered only through authenticated household access. Upload only photos you have permission to use. A household owner can delete uploaded photos.

Text messages

Text-message frequency varies according to household activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not close your CareLighter account, and in-app information remains available.

Security and retention

We use access controls and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary for operations, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.

Your choices

You may decline text alerts, reply STOP, update household access, remove personal photos, or request correction or deletion of your information by contacting us. Household owners control invitations and uploaded-photo deletion, but every recipient controls their own SMS consent.

Children

CareLighter is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
