Schedule it once
Brandon sets one familiar calendar reminder for 9:15 each morning instead of remembering to call every day.
ONE NEXT STEP AT HOME. ONE CLEAR RESULT FOR YOU.
CareLighter is a household coordination system for recurring reminders, messages, and simple requests. The tablet keeps one next step visible. The household view shows whether the person tapped, did not respond, or the device stopped connecting.
Currently being self-tested—not sold. The founder is testing the web app on an iPad with Guided Access. A standardized Android kit may follow only after the core loop is reliable.
For everyday coordination—not emergency response, medical monitoring, direct care, or clinical recommendations.
Please check today’s calendar card on the kitchen table.
Nancy tapped at 9:17 AM.Acknowledgement only; no proof of completion.
The goal is not more caregiving data. It is fewer calls, fewer repeated conversations, and less uncertainty about what happened.
THE CLOSED COORDINATION LOOP
Brandon sets one familiar calendar reminder for 9:15 each morning instead of remembering to call every day.
Nancy sees a large prompt, hears the alert, and taps one plainly worded response.
Brandon sees that Nancy tapped. The tap is an acknowledgement, not proof that the real-world task happened.
If Nancy does not respond by the configured time, CareLighter can place the item where the support team can act on it.
The support team sees that the tablet has stopped checking in instead of assuming Nancy ignored the prompt.
BUILT AROUND REAL CAREGIVING
CareLighter is being built for the person who carries the calendar, the follow-up, the household details, and the worry. It can support one trusted person or a wider support team without assuming extra family help is always available.
ONE ROUTINE, COMPARED
Three interventions. Lingering uncertainty.
One visible result. Intervene only if needed.
This is an example workflow—not a pilot result. A later outside-household test must show whether families actually make fewer calls, texts, and repeated follow-ups.
THE RESULT WE WILL MEASURE
The founder self-pilot measures whether a prompt, tap, miss, and device failure remain obvious without constant refreshing or babysitting.
Record whether one visible response actually closes a routine loop.
Confirm that an unanswered prompt never looks completed or safe.
Make a sleeping or disconnected tablet visibly different from a person who did not respond.
PROVE THE LOOP FIRST
The support team should see the response promptly without guessing whether the dashboard is stale or treating the tap as proof.
An unanswered prompt must remain visible for follow-up. It is not evidence that the person is fine.
Core value testA sleeping, closed, or disconnected tablet must never be presented as an ignored prompt.
Public packages and paid household testing stay paused until this loop and its failure states pass on the founder’s iPad.
FOUNDER SELF-PILOT IN PROGRESS
The founder is using one iPad and a separate household view to run five scenarios: acknowledgement, no response, tablet offline, a help tap, and a second support person. Setup time, break-fix time, session failures, notification failures, and every way the tablet escapes the intended screen are being recorded.
This is a time-boxed product test, not a public service package or evidence of health, adherence, or safety outcomes. Every household must retain ordinary phone and emergency contacts.
