Terms and Conditions
Effective September 11, 2026
These terms govern your use of CareLighter. By creating or using an account, you agree to these terms.
Care-coordination service
CareLighter helps adults coordinate everyday caregiving tasks, requests, check-ins, and communications. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, monitoring service, or emergency-response service. CareLighter does not provide diagnoses, clinical recommendations, or professional care advice.
Emergencies and professional care
Do not use CareLighter for emergencies or time-critical safety needs. Call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service. Users remain responsible for confirming that care requests, medications, appointments, and other tasks are handled appropriately and for consulting qualified professionals when needed.
Accounts and household access
You must provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and invite only people authorized to access the household. Household owners are responsible for managing access. Do not enter information you are not authorized to share.
Home-health scheduling
The clinician portal is a communication aid for proposing visit windows and recording household availability. A Yes response is not final confirmation of a visit. Clinicians and agencies remain responsible for using their required scheduling, privacy, documentation, and confirmation procedures. Scheduling access does not authorize clinical advice or access to other household information.
Photos and personal content
You may upload personal photos and enter preferences only when you have the right and permission to do so. Do not upload sensitive, unlawful, or infringing content. Household owners are responsible for managing and removing household content.
SMS terms
CareLighter sends recurring transactional care-coordination texts only to mobile numbers enrolled with consent. Messages may include help requests, shared task updates, scheduling notices, and new-message alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse CareLighter, interfere with its operation, access another household without permission, send unlawful or abusive content, or use the service for unsolicited marketing.
Availability and changes
CareLighter may change, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot guarantee uninterrupted delivery. We may update these terms and will post the effective date on this page.
Disclaimer and limitation
CareLighter is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, CareLighter is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on alerts.
